Jill Glasenapp (Owner/Head Trainer)
Jill Glasenapp, Owner and head trainer of G2 Fitness has had a long love affair with fitness and coaching. Growing up in Wisconsin, Jill was always involved in sports and outdoor activities. Jill’s love affair with physically demanding activities led her to joining the military just out of high school. In 2000, Jill enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard and in 2005, upon graduation from the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay; Jill entered active duty to serve as a commissioned officer. In 2005, Jill deployed in support Operation Iraqi Freedom where she led a Military Police Platoon in mentoring the Iraqi Police force in Fallujah Iraq. Then in 2010 Jill had the unique privilege to lead a multi-discipline unit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan where they again trained Afghan Border Police. In 2013, Jill decided to leave the active duty military to pursue her passions in fitness.
Serving 13 years in the U.S. Army, Jill had the unique opportunity to serve in numerous leadership positions, honing her ability to teach, coach and mentor. Coupled with her certification as a U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainer and extensive experience planning various training programs and exercises, personal training was a natural step.
Functional fitness is her true passion. After both deployments, the importance of functionality became clear, particularly regarding efficiency and ultimately quality of life. Functional fitness, rooted in exercises that mimic daily tasks and natural movements (such as squatting, reaching and rotating), is designed to ensure one’s ability to overcome the challenges of work and life. Couple functional fitness with challenging intensities catered to your abilities, and you will get a great workout in every session.
