Today marked the start of my Whole30 Challenge. 30 days eating strict “paleo”… No sugar, no processed, no starches, no dairy. The hubs is down with the plan- and we hit the ground running. Staples were positioned through-out the house… Lara Bars, fruit, left-over Carnitas, and sliced up veggies. I’ve been proactively designing daily menus for a while now- so broiled burgers with sautéed onions, fresh-cut tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce wraps were already on the way. Delish!!
Also today- I planned a family friendly functional fitness workout for some friends that will be joining me tomorrow. The plan involved box jumps… Which made me realize that omits kids probably can’t jump a 20″ box. DIY Time!!! I hit up Home Depot- got some quality plywood and 2×2 posts cut to specifications for a 12″ and 16″ box!!! The hubs was having a hard time watching my “techniques” so- he jumped in to help out
The total project took about 2 hours but probably saved us around $100. Fist bump to that! We sanded down the edges once the boxes were complete to ensure no bloody shins… But that’s it! Too Easy!
Quite the productive day I’d say! Tomorrow will be the true test! Stay tuned ladies and gents- as the workouts, menus and projects are bound to get interesting!!
